Silver Swan Bayside Maryland-Megan and Joe picked a perfect day in June for their waterfront Cheasapeake Bay wedding. Their location was a good fit for Joe who grew up surfing the Atlantic ocean and Megan who loves the nautical look. I personally loved the navy and white striped ribbon that tied together their dinner and cocktail settings. Megan included two very special details in her wedding look. The first was her mother’s diamond necklace and the second was her engagement ring, which was custom designed by Joe. Briana Dixon with Nouvelle Weddings did a fantastic job with the day of coordinating and pre-wedding planning. Speaking of planning, we often spend a great deal of time planning to avoid wedding day surprises. But sometimes a good surprise is the best part. Just ask Joe who received a surprise “groom cake” from Megan. The cake was shaped as a bushel of crabs complete with sides of confection corn on the cob, crab mallets and an Old Bay can. The “official” wedding cake was also something to behold. A stunning three tiered white cake with an ombre of blue waves on each layer and confection seashells and starfish. Cake wasn’t the only treat for guests. Megan and Joe had a fire pit with smores and a serving of late night munchies for everyone going strong to the end. Last but not least, Joe’s brother Josh blew us all away with an amazing rendition of “All of Me” by John Legend. What a spectacular day. Congrats Megan and Joe!
