This week Lauren and David celebrated their first anniversary as husband and wife. One year ago on February 8th, they were married at the historic Belvedere in Baltimore. I was informed it would be a crazy dance party and very energetic event and to my delight, they did not disappoint! More about their story at the bottom of the post.
I believe that when people face a similar challenge and encourage one another through their hardships, those relationships are deeper, stronger, and bring a greater level of fulfillment. Together, Lauren and David face the challenges related to deafness. So do many of their dearest friends. But in no way does deafness diminish their passion for life or relationships. In fact, the bonds between this couple and their loved ones are inspiring and the good vibes were seriously contagious. I had the best time photographing this couple and their wedding celebration. Lauren and David shared a first looked on the 13th floor, which overlooks the Baltimore city skyline. This moment was the first of many that day when I was hiding teary eyes behind my camera. I can’t pretend to be all business when witnessing so much joy! Lauren and David signed wedding vows to one another and ended the ceremony with a robust dip and kiss. Thank you Lauren and David for sharing your wedding day and love story with me. Your zest for life will inspire me always!
