On March 12th Kate and Winston were married at the Baltimore National Aquarium. This was my first wedding of the season and my first time shooting a wedding at the aquarium. It was a spectacular affair and an absolute delight to photograph! Kate and Winston’s venue choice was a perfect match for their fun personalities, and I could not have been more creatively charged and excited to photograph them with the sea creatures! Read more about their wedding following the photos. Enjoy!
Baltimore National Aquarium Wedding
Kate and Winston started their wedding day with a first look in Harbor East. It was early March which means we were pretty lucky to have such a beautiful cherry blossom tree backdrop while still in the clutch of winter (need I remind you it snowed in April). Kate’s eye became teary as she embraced Winston for the first time that day. The tears came again during the ceremony, but this time it was Winston who was flooded with emotion when he saw Kate coming down the aisle. There were a few more happy tears throughout the day, but for the most part the room was filled with big laughs and buzzed with excitement. Kate and Winston did a marvelous job putting their personal stamp on the wedding day details. To spread their love for disc golf the couple created frisbees for favors. Some of their favorite characters were printed on the frisbees and were also set out with Poke Ball groom cake. After dinner the dance party started and grew in intensity by the minute. By the last dance the room was filled with bubbles. It was mind blowing. I’d like to give a special shout out and a huge thank you to Katina with A Sweet Affair for helping us move seamlessly through the day! Also, a big thank you to Corey with the Aquarium for helping us scout the best photo locations.
