Leading up to Shakira and Homer’s wedding, Shakira and I shared emails about our different wedding planning experiences and the different challenges a bride encounters leading up to the wedding day. Planning is not easy and it was so nice to have a bride buddy to share these experiences with. When their big day finally came, I felt more like a friend coming to photograph their wedding than a stranger showing up and working for the day. I met Homer right before the ceremony, but his kindness and warmth made me feel like I knew him like an old buddy. After their ceremony at Haebler Memorial Chapel we headed over to the Gramercy Mansion to celebrate. The Gramercy Mansion has some of the prettiest gardens in Baltimore, and I loved capturing photos of the newlyweds at this charming place. Congrats Shakira and Homer!
